The Speedway gas station at the corner of Clays Mill and Wellington Way has been gone for a few years. Is something finally going in that space?
According to Councilmember Jennifer Mossotti’s August newsletter, an Estepp’s Friendly Shell gas station will be going up in the lot at Stonewall Shopping Center.
This gas station will offer food, beverage, a walk-in beer cooler, and everyday convenience items. It is planned to be open late fall of 2019. They have not yet decided on operating hours for this location.
Estepp’s Friendly Shell stations has served Lexington since 1975 and they plan to open more locations throughout the city in 2020.
