Students Aaron Bruner and Kyle Jasper have come up with their own organization called Kentucky Food Ministry. What they do is pack bags of food and deliver to those who need it the most.

Each bag contains a ham sandwich, bag of chips, a cookie, and drink. Due to the generosity of others, the project is now completely funded by donations.

The two students meet in downtown Lexington on Friday nights to pass the bags out. Sometimes they are joined by friends who also want to give back to the community.

Not only do they hand food out, but they spend time with these people and talk to them. They take the time to get to know each person and help them feel special.

If you would like to donate to Kentucky Food Ministry’s mission or help in any way, you can find them on Instagram at @kyfoodministry or email at kyfoodministry@gmail.com.
