On Thursday, July 12, Build-A-Bear Workshop will host the first-ever “Pay Your Age Day.”
For one day only, anyone who visits a Build-A-Bear Workshop can pay their current age for ANY furry friend. It’s easy – how old you are is how much your furry friend will cost. Accessories are still sold separately.
For example, a 7-year-old can make a $7 bear. A 2-year-old can make a $2 bear. The minimum amount is a $1 bear.
Build-A-Bear reports that $29 is the most anyone will pay for a Make-Your-Own stuffed animal on Pay Your Age Day. So customers over the age of 29 won’t pay more, even if the option they choose retails for more than $29.
There is a Build-A-Bear Workshop located in the Fayette Mall, near Dillard’s. The store will open one hour early for this special event, at 9 am.
In order to redeem this promotion, parents or guardians over the age of 18 must first enroll in the free Build-a-Bear Bonus Club rewards program or provide an email and name so that a guest, who is present at the time of the purchase, can pay his or her age for a furry friend.
This one-day promotion kicks off the new year-round ‘Count Your Candles’ program at Build-A-Bear Workshop. Kids ages 14 and under can purchase a ‘Birthday Treat Bear’ in their birthday month and pay the price of the age they’re turning. Offer only valid for Bonus Club members.
“We ‘heart’ birthdays at Build-A-Bear, so we’re hosting the Pay Your Age Day to launch our year-round ‘Count Your Candles’ offer for Guests celebrating a birthday with us in stores — an experience we designed especially to commemorate birthdays in a memorable way,” Build-A-Bear President and CEO Sharon Price John explained in a press release.
