What would make Lexington Green feel a little more luxurious? A day spa is right.
The new Woodhouse Day Spa is now open inside Lexington Green in the former location of Artique. The 7,000 square foot spa features local reclaimed Kentucky wood and 17 treatment stations fit for their unique offering of spa services.
Woodhouse Spa is a place to relax, refresh, and renew. As more people choose to invest in experiences rather than things, Jeff Chapman and Cheryl Rose opened the spa to bring a unique experience to Lexington. The two owners introduced the Woodhouse brand to Northern Kentucky in 2017 before choosing to expand into Lexington in 2020.
Lexington’s Woodhouse Spa has a distinctive list of services including massages from Volcanic hot stone, Swedish and deep tissue; nail services like manicures and pedicures; body treatments (some of which are in a Vichy shower), sleep treatments, and scrubs; and waxing.
“We try to make sure every guest from the moment they book their appointment to the moment they arrive in the spa and smell exceeds their expectations across the spectrum. There is specialized protocols in all our services and therapists may be different in their skills, but there is consistency in the experience overall,” says Rose.
The spa’s employees include highly trained estheticians, nail technicians, licensed massage therapists, and the front desk team better known as spa concierges. The concierge team knows the different services available and can help recommend what services may be best for each individualized guest. The spa caters to special events in the facility’s group relaxation room that fits parties of all types.
“We want guests to come in and spend a couple hours. We want them to make a day of it. It’s more experiential than just going in for the service,” says Chapman.
