The Origin Hotel located in The Summit at Fritz Farm has officially opened. Where exactly in The Summit is it located? What can guests expect from the hotel?
Located behind Edley’s Bar-B-Que and Shake Shack, Origin Hotel is now accepting reservations. The groups involved with making this hotel possible hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony with Commerce Lexington.
“At that time of development, there really wasn’t a great hotel in this town that really related the experiences that we were showing people form outside of Lexington,” said Libby Lassiter of Bayer Properties. “We brought people in from New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, really all over the country to show how special Lexington is and during that point there really wasn’t the right hotel brand here. So today all of that has changed.”
Origin specializes in experiences local to the city, “culture of the creative.” They provide guests with THE DO LIST, a compilation of all things fun and adventurous to do in Lexington and surrounding area.
After the ceremonial ribbon cutting, the hotel general manager, Michael Russell, presented a donation to the Lexington Humane Society. “In the spirit of our community pillar, we also want to proudly introduce our charity partner for the next year which is very close and near and dear to my heart, the Lexington Humane Society.” The charity was presented with a $2,500 check that will go back to the animals living in the shelter.
Lexington is the second among the four new locations opening. In May 2018, Thrash Group opened the first Origin Hotel in Red Rocks, Colorado. Lexington is the second among the four new Origin locations opening. The other locations are Westminster, Colorado and Raleigh, North Carolina.
Also open is the hotel’s restaurant, 33 Staves. It has an eclectic industrial feel to go with the uniqueness of the hotel. It is located to the right of the lobby.
